On the afternoon of May 7, local time, 257 people at a pineapple processing plant in Hua Hin City were tested for new coronavirus, 112 of whom were infected with the new coronavirus, with a 43.56 percent diagnosis rate.
The local government immediately set up a square cabin hospital to deal with the cluster infection to prevent the further spread of the new coronavirus in the area.
The outbreak of the cluster infection was caused by an employee of the factory who had been infected with coronavirus in April when he went to an outbreak bar in downtown Hua Hin and who had been in close contact with more than 100 people at the plant because he had not reported his whereabouts.
