Hundreds of houses were damaged and two children died in Uzbekistan’s Andijan, Namangan and Suirhan river states during the night of 6 May local time due to heavy rainfall.
According to local media reports, more than 700 families were affected by the natural disaster.
Rail traffic in the affected areas has been halted and some road sections have been damaged.

After the accident, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, ministry of internal affairs, the
National Guard, the Ministry of Transport and so on were involved in the rescue work.
