Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on 6 May that it had decided to recall its Ambassador to Germany, Zegul Allawi, because of Germany’s growing hostility over the high-profile issue of Western Sahara.
Morocco’s foreign ministry said in a statement that Germany had been undermining Morocco’s interests over the past few months, particularly with regard to Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara, and that it had not changed its destructive attitude.
