A Las Vegas news anchor has been arrested after she was found sleeping naked in her car, the New York Post reported Tuesday.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that At around 7:30 a.m. local time on March 20, Steven Kiflegiorgis, the anchor and reporter of Fox 5’s morning show in Las Vegas, was found sleeping naked in his car parked on the side of the road.
The female anchor told police she could not remember why she was there. Police also reported that she had a smell of alcohol on her body, but she refused to undergo a blood test.
The female anchor was later charged with reckless driving, disregarding personal or property safety. On April 21, she was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and ordered to return to driving school, the newspaper reported.
The East African-American woman, who grew up in California, told viewers in a video that she had been away from the station for weeks: “A lot of people have noticed that I haven’t been on the show for weeks, and I sincerely thank you for your concern for all who have contacted me.” ”
The anchor also said in the video that the suspension was due to a “private incident” and said the charges against her were later reduced to a misdemeanor count of reckless driving.
It is reported that just three days before his arrest, the anchor was wearing a green print dress on St. Patrick’s Day and shared a selfie on social media.
