April 29 2021 the first night rehearsal was held at the Red Square parade on the 76th anniversary of the victory of the Russian Patriotic War.
The russian military’s wheeled, tracked and air defense systems were fully equipped, including both T-34 tanks that had been built during the Patriotic War, as well as the Russian military’s active “Iskander-M” tactical ballistic missile system, Tornado-S rocket guns, Typhoon armored vehicles and Soyuz-SV self-propelled howitzers.
More than 12,000 troops, more than 190 ground-based military weapons and 76 aircraft are expected to be inspected this year, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to the plan, the second night rehearsal and the general rehearsal will be held on 4 and 7 May, respectively. A military parade was officially held in Red Square on May 9.
