According to New Zealand media reports, april 29 at noon local time, a light aircraft in New Zealand’s South Island Christchurch International Airport forced landing.
The aircraft had a mechanical failure, the landing gear could not be put down, and eventually the aircraft tentacles made a successful landing, the aircraft did not catch fire.
A police spokesman said that at present, the landing aircraft is still parked on the runway, the aircraft carrying two people, neither injured. Christchurch Airport said it was not closed and was operating normally. There are two runways at the airport and the clean-up is still under way.
