Kazakhstan’s speaker, Asimbayev, is infected with the Coronavirus

April 27th 2021 the speaker of Kazakhstan’s Senate (upper house of parliament) Mavlin Asimbayev said on social media that despite all precautions taken, his latest test for the coronavirus tested positive and there were no symptoms.

He will follow the doctor’s advice, isolate himself and work remotely. He also said that the development of Coronavirus pandemic situation is still unstable, the public should do a good job of protection measures to protect themselves and their families.

Asimbayev visited Russia in mid-April and met with Russian Federal Council President Matviyenko in the framework of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
