April 26 2021 – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has released a shocking video taken on the U.S.-Mexico border. Footage shows the “snakehead” hoisting children and adults from a border wall about 9 meters high by relying solely on ropes to get illegal immigrants across the border wall into the United States.
The incident took place on April 22, local time, ABC 25 reported. The video shows a man with ropes being lowered from a 30-foot-high border wall, followed by a man, a woman and two adults, with children, at around 3.15am that day, assisted by a “snakehead.” U.S. agents found that the “snakehead” first provided them with ladders to climb the border wall on the Mexican side and put them on the U.S. side with a rope.
“Snakehead often uses this strategy to reduce the risk of injury,” Gregory Povino, chief patrol officer for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said in a statement. They are willing to put others at risk, including children. He also mentioned that three adults and two children were lucky not to fall off the 9-metre-high border wall.
