On April 23, local time, Russian Security Council Vice Chairman Dmitry Medvedev wrote that the United States has not learned the lessons of history, leading to the deterioration of Russian-American relations, the current situation is comparable to the “Cuban missile crisis.”
Medvedev said that in recent years, Russia-U.S. relations have actually moved from competition to confrontation, in essence, the relationship between the two countries has returned to the Cold War era. First, recognize the cost of “fatal decisions”. If the United States fights for so-called victory at the expense of its own existence, then victory will no longer be victory.
Second, maintain direct communication. The United States should learn to listen to each other and try to understand each other’s logic and evidence.
Third, the United States should learn to give in and abandon ultimatums and rudeness.
