This year marks the launch of the Year of Cultural Exchange between China and South Korea, and next year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea.
China and South Korea are both sports powers in East Asia, and the sports departments of the two countries maintain good cooperation and close communication. The Beijing Winter Olympics will be held in February next year, and South Korea will host the Gangwon Road Winter Olympics in 2024.

Li said that South Korea and China have a long history of friendship and that the two countries have shown deep friendship and feelings in the face of the epidemic. In recent years, China’s sports industry has made great progress and the two countries have exchanged and cooperated in sports.
At present, the South Korean delegation is fully prepared for the Tokyo Olympic Games, while actively preparing for next year’s Beijing Winter Olympics, when more than 200 people will be sent to China to participate in the olympic games.
China has made excellent achievements in fighting the epidemic and believes that China can hold a safe and successful Winter Olympics. China will also host the Hangzhou Asian Games and Chengdu Games in 2022, and South Korea will actively send a delegation to participate.
The Korean Sports Association is ready to make joint efforts with China to deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of sports between the two countries and promote the continuous development of friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
