China and Egypt hold consultations on United Nations affairs

April 15, 2021, Yang Tao, Director of the International Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held consultations on United Nations affairs with Assistant Deputy Minister of United Nations Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Mr. Amru, exchanged views on issues such as United Nations reform, human rights and the work of the Security Council, and agreed to strengthen coordination and cooperation between China and Egypt to jointly safeguard the role of the United Nations, safeguard the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations and safeguard the common interests of developing countries.
