April 16 A man in the United States has been arrested after shouting anti-Asian remarks at an Asian woman and trying to beat her.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of the 13th local time and the victim was a 25-year-old Asian woman, WCBS television in New York reported Wednesday. The woman was walking her dog on the street when Daniel Negroni, 31, suddenly approached her and shouted anti-Asian remarks at her, threatening to “I should hit you.”
Negroni then brandished his fist in an attempt to attack the woman, who quickly ducked. Police said no one was injured in the incident. Negroni was arrested on the 15th and charged with hate crimes and aggravated harassment.
