According to the Russian Sputnik News Agency on April 10, the representative of the Russian Consulate General in Antalya, Turkey, revealed to the Satellite News Agency on the 10th that a bus carrying Russian tourists had a car accident in Turkey that morning, killing one Russian citizen and injuring 26.
The representative said: “At about 9:30 a.m. local time on April 10, a bus carrying 32 Russian tourists vacationing in Antalya occurred on the Konia-Aksarai road.”
According to the preliminary information received by the Russian Consulate General from the local law enforcement agencies, the car accident was caused by the loss of control of the bus due to the freezing of the road surface.
The representative said: “It is regrettable that the Turkish authorities confirmed that one Russian tourist died.” In the accident, 26 other Russian citizens were injured. The representative added that the injured tourist had been taken to a nearby hospital.
