Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee said in a statement: “After consultation with all stakeholders, including FINA, we have decided to postpone the water polo test match originally scheduled for April 10-11. All parties concerned hope to find the most suitable time in May or June for this important competition to be held. OK.”
The statement also said: “Haging the test competition is extremely important for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In order to ensure that the test competition and the Olympic Games as a whole are held to the best standards, and to take care of the schedule of all stakeholders in the epidemic, we think it is necessary to postpone this competition.”
