Former mayor of Amman, Jordan, Agre Bilta Gene died of COVID-19

February 28th, local time, Aqel Biltaji, the former mayor of Amman, Jordan, died of COVID-19 at the age of 80.

Birtaki served as mayor of Amman, the capital of Jordan, from September 2013 to March 2017.

In addition, he has served as a member of the Jordanian Senate, senior adviser to the Royal Hashemite Court, the chairman of the Aqaba Economic Zone Committee and the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.
