The first batch of Chinese SinoVac coronavirus vaccine purchased by the Thai government arrived in Thailand on February 24 local time.
The Medical Department of the Ministry of Health of Thailand announced on the 26th that the SinoVac vaccine has passed the quality inspection and can start vaccination.
Soupon, chairman of the Thai Vaccine Management Committee, revealed that Prime Minister Prayut and Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Anutin will be vaccinated with the first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine and the first dose of Kohing vaccine on February 28, respectively, at the Bangranaradun Infectious Disease Hospital in Bangkok.
The general public is expected to start vaccination on March 1 local time.
