South Korean police are investigating the threat of terrorist attacks against Incheon International Airport.
An online video claimed to attack the airport on March 1 on the anniversary of the Korean independence movement.
Located about 50 kilometers west of the capital Seoul, Incheon Airport is the largest airport in South Korea.
Incheon Airport Police Department said that they received a report from citizens on the 23rd that the video sharing platform “Youtu” threatened to launch an attack at 11 a.m. on March 1.
March 1 is the anniversary of South Korea’s “Trinity Movement” against Japanese colonial rule and national independence. The video was uploaded on the 21st.
The uploader later removed the video.
Police said that on the 23rd, Google, the parent company of Youtu, was officially requested to assist in the investigation to determine the identity of the account holder.
