According to Libyan media on February 20th local time, Libya’s newly elected Prime Minister of the Transitional Government of Libya, Debeba, went to the eastern city of Tubrug for the first time on the 19th to meet with the heads of the Libyan National Assembly and parliamentarians to discuss the formation of the transitional government.
Tubrug is the seat of the Libyan Parliament-National Assembly.
According to the report, Debeba has met with Akira Saleh, Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmed Huma, Deputy Speaker, and has held extensive meetings with parliamentarians from the eastern, western and southern regions of Libya and chiefs, celebrities and mayors of Tubrug city.
According to the road map and timetable set by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, Prime Minister-elect Debeba needs to submit the cabinet list to the National Assembly for a vote of confidence within 21 days.
But at present, the National Assembly is still divided, and it is uncertain whether an effective vote of confidence can be held at that time.
