Police in Catalonia reported that in Girona, protest groups smashed the windows of two bank offices in the city.
In Barcelona, the capital of the region, a group of masked men smashed the bank window and ransacked the bank while trying to set the bank on fire.
In addition, demonstrators set fire to roadblocks and threw debris at guards in some neighborhoods in Barcelona.
Police asked citizens not to approach these blocks.
The Catalan ombudsman urged Spanish and European authorities to act quickly on the arrest of rapper Hassel.
