February 19th – U.S. media said that on the 16th local time, staff dismantled the helipad built at Mar-a-a-Lago Manor during Trump’s tenure.
On the same day, construction workers were seen tearing down the helipad in front of Trump’s house, driving red excavators and using concrete cutting equipment, NBC reported.
The helipad is 40 feet (about 12 meters) to 50 feet (about 14.2 meters) wide and was built in 2017.
During Trump’s administration, Palm Beach granted an exemption to the previous “copter-free zone” to facilitate his use of helicopters to handle presidential affairs, which was terminated after Trump left office on January 20.
According to CBS, Palm Beach asked Trump to dismantle the helipad after leaving office because helicopters were not allowed to enter.
Palm Beach “Pyramid Builders” were responsible for the removal of the helipad at a cost of $15,000.
