According to the monitoring data of the Athens National Observatory, the lowest temperature in Greece appeared in the northern Kozani region on the 15th, at minus 19.9 degrees Celsius.

Theodoros Kolidas, head of the Greek National Meteorological Center, told the media that this is the strongest cold front encountered in Greece in the past 12 years.
“This round of snowfall is the strongest in 12 years, both in intensity and snowfall.”
Affected by bad weather, mountain roads and some highways in high latitudes in Greece were closed, and power supply in some areas was interrupted.
Greek fire departments say at least six people trapped by snow have been rescued since the 14th. At present, no casualties have been reported.
