January 31, local time, a 91-year-old Asian-American man was knocked down and injured in
Chinatown, Oakland, California, USA. U.S. media reports that the suspect in the case has been arrested recently.
The suspect reportedly attacked two other Asians on January 31.
In addition, on January 28, a similar case occurred in San Francisco, California, in which an 84-year-old
Thai man was pushed to the ground and died. The police then arrested a 19-year-old suspect.
U.S. media reports pointed out that after the outbreak of COVID-19, the relevant remarks of the U.S. government have
contributed to exclusion, and the number of discrimination and hatred experienced by Asian Americans has increased.
