Iceland Prime Minister shouted “Oh my God is an earthquake!”
On October 20th, an earthquake occurred in Iceland. According to Iceland’s National Radio and Television (RUV), the earthquake occurred 6 kilometers west of Lake Kleva and 14 kilometers northeast of Grindavik.
Seismologist Kristín Jónsdóttir said that the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.6.
The magnitudes of the two aftershocks were 4.0 and 4.1 respectively.
Earthquakes have been
felt in many parts of the country
and it is reported that
many people’s homes have fallen off.
There were no reports of injuries and property damage.
When the earthquake hit, Icelandic Prime Minister Jacobs Dottir shouted:
“My God, this is an earthquake” in a live interview with the Washington Post.
