February 10 Saudi Arabia-led multinational coalition said on the 10th that Yemeni Houthis attacked an airport in the southern border area of Saudi Arabia on the same day, but did not cause casualties.
Multinational Alliance spokesman Turki issued a statement on the afternoon of the same day that the Houthi launched an attack on the International Airport of Abha City, Asir Province, Saudi Arabia, causing a civilian aircraft to catch fire, and the fire is now under control.
Recently, the Houthis has intensified its attacks on targets in Saudi Arabia. The multinational coalition recently intercepted and destroyed a number of drones laid by Houthi forces into southern Saudi Arabia.
In September 2014, Houthi forces captured the Yemeni capital Sana’a, and then occupied southern Yemen. In March 2015, the multinational coalition launched a military operation code-named “Decisive Storm” against the Houthi.
