UN Secretary General Guterres: Gulf countries should unite to promote regional peace and security

Guterres said in his speech that the Gulf region is facing complex and multifaceted challenges, and the situation in Yemen is of particular concern.
The nearly six-year war has destroyed the lives of millions of Yemenis and undermined efforts to build trust in the region.
He said: “I have always called for an immediate global ceasefire, focusing
on a real battle: the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

dialogue and resolve tensions between members of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
