February 6th, local time, Mahashule, General Secretary of the African National Congress (ANC), the ruling party of South Africa, issued a statement strongly condemning the former U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo and others for concocting the so-called “genocide” lie on the Xinjiang issue of China.
“We have noticed that former U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo and other individual politicians have attacked China on border-related issues, and even concocted so-called “genocide” remarks,” the statement said.
The ANC expressed concern about this.
The ANC has always opposed external interference in the internal affairs of other countries and unfounded accusations against the internal affairs of other countries, especially against individual countries to suppress and curb progressive countries and progressive forces in the name of nationality, religion, democracy, freedom and human rights.
These moves are likely to lead to regional conflicts and social unrest. Unfortunately, the United States has been a lot of bad deeds in this regard.
Some American politicians ignore the objective facts of Xinjiang’s rapid economic and social development and once again openly interfere in China’s internal affairs, fully exposing the inertial thinking of the United States that continues to promote hegemonism.
Pompeo and others fabricated lies at a time when the chaos of the U.S. election caused serious tearing and tension in popular relations. The appalling death of Freud highlighted the deep-rooted racial discrimination in American society.
The incompetence and chaos of the U.S. government in responding to the COVID-19 epidemic exposed the governance turmoil it faced. These are in sharp contrast to the so-called values of democracy and human rights that the United States has long claimed.
The ANC calls on the United States to take care of its own affairs and not to dictate on other countries’ affairs.
The ANC and all the progressive forces in the world that love peace urge the United States to abandon double standards as soon as possible and immediately stop interfering in China’s internal affairs.
