With the approach of the Spring Festival in China, traditional cultural elements of the Spring Festival have also appeared on the streets of some major cities in Italy.
As part of the Chinese Consulate General in Milan’s Lunar New Year celebration, from February 1 to 14, in the electronic display screens of several subway stations and bus stations in Milan, the paper-cut style of the Year of the Ox zodiac combined with auspicious cloud elements was played, attracting many local people to stop and watch.
At the same time, the 19th tram No. 4727, which passes through the center of Milan, is also decorated with the Year of the Ox zodiac and fireworks patterns, as well as the Italian and Chinese “Happy Year of the Ox”.
From February 5th to 21st, the Confucius Institute of the University of Turin, with the support of the Piedmont region, arranged a theme banner exhibition in the arcades on both sides of the famous Po River Road in Turin.
Selected Spring Festival poems and related literatures are presented in Chinese and Italian translations to show the citizens the traditional cultural customs of the Spring Festival.
