February 6th, AFP local time reported that the Somali Minister of Information, Osman Dubey, said on the same day that the consultations between Somali President Mohamed and the leaders of the federal member states on the general election had ended

And the parties had not reached an agreement; the Soviet central government offered concessions, compromised and friendly negotiations to resolve disputes.

However, some member state leaders tried to use the openness of the central government to demand more.

The negotiations ended in regret, and the presidential election, which should have been held on February 8, is expected to be postponed again.

Somali President Mohammed, who had reached an agreement with the leaders of the five member states of the federation on September 17 last year, but there was a disagreement between the two sides on how to conduct parliamentary and presidential elections, which increased tensions.

The United Nations has warned that Somalia may enter a period of political uncertainty again if there is still no consensus between the parties after the February 8 election deadline.
