Japan’s Yahoo News Network article on January 30, the original title: “Natural Oxygen Bar” is popular in China, and urban residents have gone to “wash their lungs” to restore vitality.
All parts of China are actively promoting the certification of those areas with fresh air and excellent natural environment as “natural oxygen bars”.
While material life becomes abundant, urban residents with high work pressure are eager to breathe fresh air to their heart’s content.
“Natural Oxygen Bar” has become an ideal choice for physical and mental cultivation. Local governments also hope to develop tourism and promote economic development with the help of a high-quality natural environment.
In 2016, the Public Meteorological Service Center under the China Meteorological Administration and other institutions began to select “China Natural Oxygen Bar”.
It is reported that the identified object is the location of about 3,800 national or provincial forest parks, wetland parks and nature reserves across the country.
Through the analysis and assessment of air, water quality, climate, vegetation and wildlife survival conditions, the “natural oxygen bar” that meets the standards is selected.
As of 2019, there are about 200 “natural oxygen bars” in China.
In January this year, all 13 counties and cities in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province were recognized as “China’s Natural Oxygen Bar”, and the news that Honghe Prefecture became China’s first “Natural Oxygen Bar” has also become a hot topic.
Judging from the list, many areas identified as “China’s natural oxygen bar” are far away from large cities and underdeveloped in industry, including many poor counties. If a place is rated as “natural oxygen bar”, the number of tourists usually increases rapidly.
In 2020, the number of tourists from scenic spots across China has shown a downward trend, but the number of tourists in Turks County, Xinjiang and Hanyin County, Shanxi Province, has increased instead of falling, exceeding 2019.
Part of the reason is that the two counties not only have unique tourism resources, but also have been rated as “China Natural Oxygen Bar”.
