Tanzania’s first vice president and wife of Zanzibar test positive for COVID-19

January 31, Hamad, First Vice President of Zanzibar, Tanzania, and his wife, and several of his assistants tested positive for COVID-19.

His party, the Alliance for Reform and Transparency, released the news through a press release.

At present, Hamad has followed the doctor’s instructions to be admitted to the local

Nazmoga hospital late on Friday (January 29) and was under medical observation there.

The press release also mentioned the hope that Tanzanian people should pay attention to preventing COVID-19.
