Israeli army killed a Palestinian in the West Bank

Ramallah, January 31 The Israel Defense Forces issued a statement on January 31 that the Israeli army shot and killed a Palestinian man near the Jewish settlement of Gushezion in the West Bank that day.

The statement said that the Palestinian man tried to assassinate an Israeli soldier with a knife at a bus stop near the Gush Ezion settlement that day.

The soldier immediately shot him down, and the man died shortly after he was shot.

There were no casualties on the Israeli side.

The statement said that the Israeli army has now opened an investigation into the incident.

In January this year, there have been many similar attacks against the Israeli army in the West Bank.

January 5, a Palestinian man was shot dead by an Israeli soldier who tried to assassinate a soldier near the settlement of Gush Ezion.

On the 26th, a Palestinian man tried to assassinate an Israeli officer and a female soldier near a Jewish settlement in the West Bank city of Nablus.

The officer shot him to death.
