On the 30th local time, a car bomb attack occurred in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan, killing eight security forces soldiers.
The Nangarhar provincial government issued a statement saying that an explosion occurred in a car full of explosives outside a military camp in the Hilzad area of the province that morning.
Security forces also intercepted another car full of explosives in the same area, and the militants were scheduled to detonate in the provincial capital city of Jalalabad.
Taliban spokesman Zabihula Mujahid announced on social media that the organization launched an attack in the Shirzad area.
The Afghan government’s negotiations with the Taliban began in Qatar on September 12, 2020, trying to find a political solution to the situation in Afghanistan.
However, due to the serious differences, the progress of the negotiations has been slow, and the conflict between the two sides has not stopped.
