January 29th – United Nations Secretary-General Guterres was inoculated with the first dose of coronavirus vaccine in New York.
According to the Russian satellite news agency, Guterres tweeted on the same day that he had been vaccinated with the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, “I am grateful for the first dose of vaccine.
We must start working to ensure that everyone, everywhere has access to a vaccine.”
According to the report, the WHO has previously approved the authorization for the emergency use of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine.
Under the current vaccination regulations in New York City, residents over 65 years old can be vaccinated.
In December 2020, Guterres, 71, said he was happy to get vaccinated in public.
On the same day, several journalists were invited to watch Guterres vaccinate.
