The foreign ministers of EU member states issued a joint statement on the 25th, confirming that the EU no longer recognizes Juan Guaidó as Venezuela’s “provisional president” and “degrades” his identity, but regards him as the so-called “special interlocutor” to Venezuela’s political process.
The European Union also stressed that it would not recognize the parliamentary elections held in Venezuela at the end of last year.
The Venezuelan government has not responded to this latest statement of the European Union for the time being.
The Venezuelan government has always strongly condemned the EU’s past interference.
