January 21st, local time, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres strongly condemned two suicide bombings in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq.
Guterres expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the Iraqi government and the people through his spokesman, hoping that the injured would recover as soon as possible.
He called on the Iraqi government to find the behind the attack as soon as possible and bring him to justice.
At the same time, Guterres reiterated the support of the United Nations for the efforts of the Government and people of Iraq to maintain peace.
