January 20th – On the 19th, the Osaka Prefecture Education Commission of Japan announced the collective infection in schools in Osaka Prefecture.
From June 2020 to January 18, 2021, 88 faculty and students in seven schools were diagnosed with COVID-19.
Some obvious cases are the collective infection caused by students taking off their masks due to poor breathing during community activities.
According to Japan’s Yomiuri Shimbun on the 20th, the Osaka Prefecture Education Commission counted the collective infection of more than five people in the area.
A total of six universities and one support school had mass infection, four of which were caused by the rapid spread of infection.
23 people have been diagnosed in high schools with the highest number of coronavirus patients.
During community activities, students take off their masks and go to commercial facilities to play together for reasons such as poor breathing, resulting in the spread of infection.
In another high school, 21 people were diagnosed, because students shouted when they took off their masks at community activities and the ventilation in the gym was not smooth.
These confirmed students are all patients with no or mild symptoms.
The Osaka Prefecture Education Commission requires students to limit their daily outing activities to about one hour and weekend activities to about two or three hours during the emergency declaration period, and reiterated once again to do a good job in epidemic prevention.
