Germany plans to extend the blockade until mid-February

According to the Lianche Zaobao, German Chancellor Merkel hopes to extend the coronavirus lockdown until February 15 and force the use of medical masks in public transportation and stores.

According to a German federal government draft resolution seen by Reuters on the 19th, the draft proposes to close schools until mid-February and improve assistance to companies affected by the extension of the blockade.

The draft also recommends the establishment of a working group to study how to lift restrictions safely and fairly.

It is reported that Merkel will meet with local leaders on Tuesday to discuss measures to curb the epidemic.
