Before the exam, more than 8,000 candidates were approved to take the make-up examination to be held next month due to COVID-19 symptoms.
Two cities in the current most affected state of the epidemic and neighboring Rondonia have also postponed the examination to February.
In addition, on the 17th, about 11 examination rooms across the country had more applicants than the actual number of seats in the examination room, and some candidates were refused admission to the examination room before the examination.
Previously, in order to meet the requirements of epidemic prevention, these examination rooms have reduced the number of seats to ensure seat spacing. Candidates who fail to enter the examination room are also required to take the make-up examination.
It is reported that previously, Brazil’s highest abandonment rate of college entrance examination was 37.7% in 2009 and the abandonment rate on the first day of college entrance examination in 2019 was 23%.
