The positive rate of French children testing for COVID-19 continues to rise.

According to the data released by the French public health department on January 16, as of the afternoon of the same day, the cumulative number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in France exceeded 2.89 million, more than 20,000 new cases from the previous day, and the cumulative number of reported deaths exceeded 70,000.

France’s current rate of positive tests for COVID-19 is 6.49%, with the rate of children testing positive continuing to climb and peaking on January 13, with 10 percent for children under 10 years of age and 8.5% for children aged 10 to 19.
