According to the U.S. political news website “Politico” on the 15th, Jen Psaki, spokesman of the Biden transition team, announced on Friday that the White House will reopen the list of visitors after the Biden administration takes office.
At present, the Trump administration does not disclose the full records of White House visitors, including the names of people who have visited the core White House offices such as the West Wing.
This decision was originally announced in April 2017, breaking the Obama administration’s practice of regularly publicizing visitor lists.
The Trump administration reportedly faced legal challenges in this regard and settled a lawsuit in 2018 allowing monthly release of visitor records for selected White House offices, including the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of Drug Policy.
