Andrew Yang officially announced his candidacy for mayor of New York City.

Andrew Yang, a Chinese entrepreneur who participated in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, officially announced his candidacy for mayor of New York City.

Andrew Yang posted a campaign video Wednesday and went live on a website promising to bring New York City “the biggest basic income plan in history”, a landmark issue during his 2020 presidential campaign.

Last December, the New York Campaign Finance Committee confirmed that Andrew Yang submitted documents for the election to mayor of New York City in 2021.
