According to Fox News on January 13th local time, a nursing home in upstate New York broke out of COVID-19. According to multiple reports, the epidemic has killed at least 32 people.
The public community of San Antonio, a nursing home in Auburn, New York, began an outbreak of COVID-19 on December 21, and the number of deaths began to surge since January 5. So far, at least 32 people in the nursing home have lost their lives to COVID-19.
According to the nursing home’s management organization, 104 people in the nursing home are currently infected with the novel coronavirus and nearly 50 staff members are quarantined. On December 22nd local time, the nursing home began to vaccinate against COVID-19.
A total of 263 nursing home residents and more than 100 staff were vaccinated, and a second injection was carried out on January 12.
And a spokesman for the nursing home said: “We can confirm that the outbreak of [COVID-19] in the nursing home occurred before vaccination.”
At present, the nursing home is following preventive measures, including equipping residents with full personal protective equipment and segregating all confirmed patients.
