January 10, 12 small sailboats at a sailing school in Santa Cruz, California, were overturned by huge waves, and the children on board fell into the water.
It is reported that the children are between the ages of 7 and 12, when they were on their way back to the shore when a 25-foot (about 7.6 meters) high wave hit the rear, 12 small sailboats capsized in turn and 12 children fell into the water.
The rescue team and surfers joined the rescue, and the children were eventually rescued ashore.
Police said no one was injured.
