January 11th – According to a report by Newsweek on the 11th, U.S. First Lady Melania Trump issued a statement through the White House condemning the riots that occurred in the U.S. Congress last week.

Melania said in a statement that the riots in Washington on January 6 made her feel “disappointed and discouraged”, and said that the United States should strive to restore peace, civilization, dignity and understanding.

Any violence is unacceptable.

According to an earlier report by the U.S. media, on January 6th local time, a group of Trump supporters broke into the U.S. Capitol, broke out in a fierce conflict with the police, and ransacked Pelosi and others’ offices.

So far, five people have died in the congressional riots, including a woman shot dead by congressional police, three others died of medical symptoms in the riots, and a congressional policeman was hit in the head by protesters using fire extinguishers and died after being sent to hospital.
