According to a report by the Russian Satellite News Agency on the 11th, the White House released a message that US President Trump ordered the American flag to be lowered at half-mast on January 13 to mourn the dead police.
The flag was flown at half-mast in memory of Brian Sicknick and Howard Liebengood.
Hicknick, who served in the U.S. Capitol Police Department, reportedly died of injuries sustained by protesters when they rushed into the building on January 6.
Police released information on January 10 that a second policeman had died, saying that he was not on duty and did not disclose other details.
The White House followed Congress’s flag-reave at half-mast to mourn Hicknik on January 10.
Congress lowered the flag at half-mast at the Capitol the day before yesterday, and Trump was criticized for not doing so at the White House.
Congress confirmed the presidential election results on January 6, and Trump held a rally for his supporters in Washington and called on them to go to the Capitol to “help weak Republicans”.
After that, Trump supporters surrounded the Capitol where Congress was meeting, broke into the building and vandalized it.
So far, it has been reported that five people have died.
A woman, an Air Force veteran, was shot dead inside the Capitol building, and an injured police officer died. Three other people died for reasons unrelated to violence.
