Multiple polling sites and 66 polling sites in 53 countries overseas are voting, and more than 12.3 million voters are expected to vote.
In this election, five political parties, the “Light of the Motherland”, the “Bright Road” Democratic Party, the Awul People’s Democratic Party, the Adar Party and the Kazakhstan People’s Party, will run for 98 seats in the 107 seats in the parliament, and the other 9 seats will be elected at the Kazakhstan People’s Congress.
According to the regulations, political parties with more than 7% of the vote will be able to enter the allocated seats in Parliament.
The preliminary results of the election will be announced on the 11th, and in order to guarantee the fairness of the election, the Kazakhstan Central Election Commission invited 398 international observers from 10 international organizations and 31 countries to supervise the election.
On the 9th, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Treuberti said in an interview on the same day that there will be no large-scale protests during the parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan.
