Heavy rains in many parts of Albania caused floods and damaged roads and homes to varying degrees.

January 8th local time, the Albanian Daily reported that the heavy rainfall in recent days has had serious consequences for Szkodra, Leza, Fuchkriya, Flora and other places in Albania, causing floods and inland waterlogging, affecting local transportation and residents’ lives to varying degrees.

The river overflows and pours into the road in the Leza region; the water level of the Vzasa River in the Flora region rises, flooding the market near the river; about 20 homes in the Fushikruya region are surrounded by water; and some roads in the Škodra region are interrupted, flooding dozens of hectares of farmland.
