January 3rd local time, according to local media reports in Pakistan, at least 11 coal miners were kidnapped and shot dead by unidentified militants in the Maher region of Balochistan province in southwest Pakistan.
Police said that the militants kidnapped the working miners and took them to the nearby mountains to shoot.
Six miners died on the spot and five seriously injured miners died on the way to the hospital.
Preliminary police investigation showed that the attackers took the miners away and shot them after determining that they were residents of the Islamic Shiite Hazara community, and the miners who were not in the community were not harmed.
At present, no organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.
