December 30th, California Governor Newsom announced that California had found a mutant carrier of the novel coronavirus. Newsom said that although it is not clear how many related cases there are, it is likely to be in Southern California.
Entering December, California’s coronavirus epidemic suddenly got out of control, and the number of infected people exceeded 10,000. On Tuesday, it set a record of 442 single-day deaths, most of which came from Southern California.
It is reported that at present, some California hospitals are seriously overstaffed with severe COVID-19, and hospitals have to limit the number according to their condition when taking in patients.
In view of the severe epidemic, California may continue to implement the stay-at-home order.
