The Prime Minister’s Office of Portugal announced on December 30th local time that Prime Minister Costa received a coronavirus nucleic acid test on the 29th, and the results were negative.
On the 30th, he officially lifted the 14-day preventive isolation.
Costa went to Paris on the 16th of this month to meet with French President Macron, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the 17th.
Costa decided to adopt preventive quarantine despite the first negative test for the virus, during which state visits to Sao Tome and Principe, the Central African Republic and Guinea-Bissau were cancelled, leaving only a non-face-to-face schedule.
